Rwanda & Uganda 2027: Tentative Itinerary

Rwanda/Uganda January 14-24, 2027

Guests will arrive by the 13th. Guests are responsible for their own food & lodging until the 16th. We will provide you with the name of a hotel in Kigali that we suggest you stay at.

Our Guides & Drivers will greet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel.

2027 has a few more days added to allow for 2 days in Rwanda and time for us to visit Kidepo National Park, in the Northeastern corner of Uganda. This park is the only home to cheetahs in Uganda. While we can not guarantee who we will see, we are hopeful to see the world’s fasted land mammal. This area is also home to the Karamojong tribe, who are cousins to the Masi Mara tribe in Kenya. We will visit with them and get an introduction to their culture.

We will explore our own unconscious bias, investigate ways to increase awareness of our own culture and other cultures, and discuss how to learn about unfamiliar cultures. We will learn through lecture, interactive exercises and hands on exercises; providing a safe place for us to get real about how we hold our own culture and others.

Self-Care is not a luxury with Anjahni Davi

Why self-care is a requirement for all mental health professionals. We will explore through lecture, interactive exercises and hands on experiences the importance of self-care for clinicians, so that we show up our best selfs, fully present, able to deal with counter-transference, avoid burnout and the complexities that is being a Mental Health Professional. We will define what burnout and compassion fatigue are and how to identify when they start to arise and ways to prevent burnout with self-care.
